Born and raised in Washington DC, have returned after sorties to the Blue Ridge Mountains, Toronto, and three Big Ten university towns. First an English and comparative literature major, now a retired psychologist and executive coach.
My main genre: historical fiction inspired by real people and events, including ancestors near and far. Parents: World War II military officers, originally from Massachusetts and New Orleans. Further back: elected officials, visual artists, engineers, farmers. Further? An indentured servant and a religious pilgrim traveling on the Mayflower.
The Writer's Center in Bethesda has provided two years of study and workshopping in screenwriting. My first two screenplays have received contest honorable mentions, and revisions continue. I enjoy giving and receiving feedback while conducting the exquisite torture of writing.
