Dr Hooks is a Board Certified Alternative Medical Practitioner and has a broad background in the Practice of Western Medicine, Alternative Medicine and Wellness, Environmental Health Issues and Mitigation, Eco-psychology, Pastoral Counseling and Energy Psychology through the use of Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT). Health & Wellness Counseling, Occupational Health and Safety Issues, Health Program Development and Implementation. He was National Medical Director for Laidlaw Environmental Services working with Hazardous Material Recovery of all types including Military Grade Agents. Dr Hooks also Managed and Directed an Occupational Health and Safety Program for 3000 Government Employees in 25 Locations on a daily basis while employed by the Government. He completed training program through the U.S. Dept of Defense for "Train the Trainer Nuclear, Biological and Chemical Agents" He holds 5 Levels in National Incident Command Certifications and is cross trained in Radiation Detection, Terrorism and Counter Terror and has been an Invited Lecturer at Duke University School of Medicine, Division of Occupational and Environmental Medicine. He has instructed numerous classes on Topics of Health/Safety, Blood borne and Airborne Pathogens, Stress Management as well as Seminars for Multi-NBC Agent Attacks and Risk Mitigation/Business Continuity. He also has background in Law Enforcement, both at the Local and Federal Levels as well as Fire and EMS Service. He Contracted to the Dept of Defense for the recovery of DNA to identify Prior Military Service Members both Deceased and Alive for Records Verification. He was also an Invited Guest of President Reagan as one of Two Hundred Industry Executives for the National Kick Off of the "Just Say No to Drugs in the Workplace" Campaign in Washington, DC. In the Practice of Occupational Medicine, he provided Services for Local, State and Federal Law Enforcement Agencies as well as HazMat Agencies, Fire/Rescue and EMS Agencies as well as Private Contractors. Dr Hooks also has a Certificate in Psychological First Aid through Johns Hopkins University, instructed by Dr. George Everly, Distinguished Member of AAETS.
