Susan E. Friedenberger is an Outpatient Therapist at Universal Community Behavioral Health located in Huntingdon, PA.
Susan is credentialed as a Licensed Professional Counselor, a Certified Rehabilitation Counselor, and a Diplomate for the National Center for Crisis Management in collaboration with the American Academy of Experts in Traumatic Stress. She is also certified in Acute Traumatic Stress Management.
Prior to resuming her role as an Outpatient therapist, Susan spent a period of time working for the Office of Rehabilitation (OVR) and the Bureau of Blindness and Visual Services (BBVS). She was an Assistant District Administrator prior to her departure from BBVS. Susan also served as a Vocational Rehabilitation Specialist in the role of Training Coordinator overseeing training for all Commonwealth OVR staff. She has also held the positions of Vocational Rehabilitation Counselor and Vocational Rehabilitation Supervisor. Her experience includes private practice mental health practitioner, family based mental health clinician, wraparound treatment provider, and the lead case manager for a brain injury program. In total, Susan has 18 years' experience in the field of rehabilitation.
Susan is a member of the Pennsylvania Counseling Association. She is an active member in her local church and a proud supporter of community events. Susan is a mother of one adult daughter and son-in-law, and grandmother to a terrific grandson who endearingly calls her "B".
