About Me


Carole Estabrooks holds a Canada Research Chair in Knowledge Translation and is recognized internationally as a leader in knowledge translation science. A past member and vice-chair of the CIHR Institute of Aging Advisory Board, she directs the Knowledge Utilization Studies Program at the University of Alberta. Her research focuses on developing practical solutions for improving the quality of care provided to LTC residents, for enriching the work life of their caregivers, and for enhancing system efficiencies and effectiveness. She does this by advancing knowledge translation and improvement science, working in an increasingly integrated knowledge translation model. She is the founder of the international Knowledge Utilization Colloquia.
