Cribb, Alastair

About Me


Alastair Cribb is a professor of clinical pharmacology at the University of Calgary Faculty of Veterinary Medicine.  He served as the founding Dean of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, University of Calgary from 2006-2016. Prior to that, he was a Professor of clinical pharmacology at the University of PEI for ten years, where he was Director of the Laboratory for Comparative Pharmacogenetics and  the founding Director of the PEI Health Research Institute. He was an MRC Scholar and a Canada Research Chair in Comparative Pharmacology and Toxicology. He was a member of CIHR Governing Council for five years.  Dr. Cribb's research focuses on the molecular and genetic basis of adverse drug reactions and susceptibility to breast cancer. His work has been funded by the CIHR, CBCRI, CFI, and other funding sources.
