Professional Biography


Dr. Nicolle DeLeo is a Licensed Clinical Psychologist in Florida and Illinois and a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in Florida.  She is the owner of Fort Lauderdale Psychology P.A. and Heartland Psychology.  She has been a Diplomat of the American Academy of Experts in Traumatic Stress since 2011. Dr. DeLeo has treated a variety of mental conditions over the years including but not limited to the following: Depressive Disorders, Anxiety conditions including Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD), Complex-Post-traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), and the Eating Disorders. 

While formerly training at a major county hospital, with a background in health psychology, and years of experience working at various levels of care (including hopsital based care, inpatient trauma); Dr. DeLeo has helped many individuals learn to manage and overcome the effects of childhood sexual abuse and facilitating trauma resolution with co-occurring conditions. She has specialty training in treating the disorders of dissociation including Dissociative Identity Disorder. Further specialization includes the treatment of various eating disorders including Anorexia, Bulimia, and Binge Eating Disorder. Formerly, Dr. DeLeo has worked as a primary therapist in some of the most well known eating disorder treatment facilities across the country.  She holds a special interest in working with high achievers, entrepreneurs, and health care providers to assist them in mainting and restoring their well-being.
