Professional Biography


Nicholas Greco IV, M.S., B.C.E.T.S.,C.A.T.S.M., F.A.A.E.T.S., is President and Founder of C3 Education and Research,Inc., a public safety training and consulting firm. Nick has held multiplepositions over a 20-year career in clinical operations, project management,multidisciplinary training for civilians and law enforcement, as well asdiagnostics and assessment. He has directed, managed, and presented trainingprograms globally across various topics including depression, bipolar disorder,schizophrenia, verbal de-escalation techniques, post-traumatic stress disorder,burnout, and vicarious traumatization. He has authored over 320 book reviews, presentedglobally on over 350 professional presentations, workshops, and in-services,and authored or co-authored numerous articles and text supplements in psychiatryand psychology.

He received his undergraduate trainingin psychology from Benedictine University, his certificate of clinical trainingin Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder from the National Center for PTSD ClinicalLaboratory and Education Division, his Master’s degree in Psychology fromDePaul University, his Certification in Acute Traumatic Stress Management fromthe American Academy of Experts in Traumatic Stress, and is a Board Certified Expertin Traumatic Stress – Diplomate and Fellow, American Academy of Experts inTraumatic Stress.

          He is an approved CIT instructor withthe Illinois Law Enforcement Training and Standards Board, a CIT instructor forthe Chicago Police Department, CIT Coordinator and Lead CIT Trainer for theLake County Sheriff’s Office National CIT Program - BJA Grant, a Narcaninstructor, a Subject Matter Expert for both Axon and Lexipol/Police One, and aMental Health First Aid Instructor with Public Safety, Fire/EMS, and HigherEducation designations. He is a member of the InternationalLaw Enforcement Educators and Trainers Association (ILEETA), an AssociateMember Service Provider of the International Association of Chiefs of Police (IACP), a member of the Illinois Sheriffs’ Association,a member of the International Public Safety Association (IPSA), Committee Chairfor the IPSA Mental Health Committee, and a member of CIT International.
