Marguerite (Maggie) Smith, LLB Hons; JD, is the President of the Seattle law firm Flexx Law, PS. Is a member of the Bars of Washington State, Minnesota, District of Columbia, England and Wales. Has practiced family law for over 20 years. Currently Chair of the King County Washington International Law Section and Vice Chair of the ABA International Section, Family Law Committee Task Force on International Family Mediation; Is an outgoing Chair (as of 2014) of the ABA, International Law Section, Family Law Committee. Has authored the USA-Washington State section of the Family Law, Jurisdictional Comparisons, European Lawyer Reference Series published by Thompson Reuters and co-authored the International Law Chapter of the Washington State Bar Association Family Law Desk Book. Also authored The New Standard, Marriage/Divorce, Protecting the Closely Held Business (Lulu Press). A frequent speaker both locally and internationally.
