Mary Dobbs BCCC, BA, CMC, MC

Mary Dobbs is a Certified Crisis Chaplain, fire fighter and Pastoral Counselor. She is a board member of the American Board for Certification in Homeland Security Certified Master Chaplains, the Police Assistance Coalition and the Homeland Crisis Institute

She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from State University of New York Empire State College. She is Board Certified in Crisis Chaplaincy / National Center of Crisis Management and American Academy of Experts in Traumatic Stress. She is certified in Homeland Security Level II. She is a member of the International Critical Incident Stress Foundation and an associate member of the International Conference of Police Chaplains.

Ms. Dobbs specializes in debriefing and counseling first responder personnel. She works with traumatic grief and loss support for veterans and first responders. She frequently officiates for memorial services and served as veteran's chaplain at the Vietnam Wall in Boulder Colorado.

Ms.Dobbs is the founder and executive director of an international nonprofit organization assisting refugees and torture survivors throughout the Himalayan region. She created / directed projects assisting Native American families on reservations under the guidance of Ms. Delores White Hat, Lakota Tribal Elder. Ms. Dobbs is conversant and competent in writing, teaching and discussing diverse cultural and spiritual beliefs, working with individuals, families and organizations to create mutual understanding.

Ms. Dobbs was awarded accommodation from Colorado Mental Health Community Reach Centers, for her work as an outreach specialist after Hurricane Katrina; "In recognition of extraordinary achievement in the coordination of educational outreach regarding vicarious trauma on behalf of Colorado's 1st Responders to Hurricane Katrina".

Ms. Dobbs has been awarded President Bush's United States President's Call to Service Award in recognition for life time achievement of 4000 hours of volunteer work to assist communities and individuals at home and abroad
