Economic Development, Niagara Region' Fostering an Environment for Economic Prosperity is the fundamental priority for the Niagara Regional Council, and through working with the 12 local municipalities, the Economic Development Division focuses on opportunities for overall growth for the economy. The 2015 - 2018 Regional Economic Action Plan focuses on three key pillars for economic growth that are: Investment Attraction / Leads Generation and Innovation & Entrepreneurship Economic Research Analysis Advocacy With these goals in mind, Economic Development for the Niagara Region, organizes internal and external trade missions, partners with local incubators and post-secondary institutions, builds on relationships with various levels of government and provides relevant data and information to stakeholders.
