Professional Biography
I am a Lutheran Pastor, active paramedic, and chaplain for Emergency Services in Suffolk County NY. I hold an M.Div. from Concordia Seminary, St. Louis, MO, and a D.Min from Trinity Seminary, Evansville Indiana. The title of my thesis was "Sparks in the Stubble: Ministry to Emergency Service Providers in the Congregation." I hold BCETS, am an approved instructor for the International Critical Incident Stress Foundation. I have been a member of the Suffolk County Emergency Services CISM Team since 1990, and a Director of the Team since 1996. I have conducted hunreds of emergency service interventions since 1990 within Suffolk County, NY. I also have been a presenter at the ICISF World Congress (1997) on the CISM response to the downing of TWA Flight 800. I serve as a chaplain for the Suffolk County (NY) Sheriff's Office.
