As a well-known psychotherapist, Clinical Director and CEO/owner of Joelle Rabow Maletis & Associates, Inc., Joelle Rabow Maletis, MAEd, MA, LMFT utilizes reflective listening and builds rapport with her clients, incorporating CBT and DBT skills, somatic work, EMDR along with talk therapy and solution-focused therapy, to provide a structure that allows clients to make changes in their own lives. She focuses on establishing collaborations, promoting self-growth while incorporating mindfulness training to achieve client results. Joelle’s passion is helping clients develop past trauma and through Post Trauma Growth.
Joelle has always been curious about people, their stories, and the human condition. Through her own life challenges—retiring as a professional dancer—Joelle learned how to survive struggles, overcome adversities and trauma, and build self-reflection tools that she teaches today.
When partnering with her staff and clients, Joelle is proactive, dynamic, and compassionate while addressing their individual needs. By offering a safe space, Joelle works with a diverse clientele that includes C-suite executives, content moderators, active and retired military personnel, first responders, police/law enforcement and those experiencing various forms of trauma, PTSD and Post Traumatic Growth.

Joelle holds a Master of Arts in Counseling Psychology specializing in Trauma Informed Therapeutic Models, a Master of Fine Arts in Dance, a Masters of Arts in Education, a Bachelor of Science in Political Science, and a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy. Further she holds certifications in advanced somatic trauma, DBT and EMDR treatment models.
Joelle is a native Californian and adores spending time with her family - two children at university (a chef and a soccer player) and pets, Cleo and Madeira. Outside of the office, she enjoys traveling the globe, sports, cooking, baking, running, biking, hiking, reading, and writing… and watching women’s soccer!
