Professional Biography


Dr. Jeff Morley, Registered Psychologist (#1577), is the Founder and Director of The Canadian Center for Police & Emergency Services Resilience.

Jeff served as an RCMP officer from 1990 -2013, retiring as a Staff Sergeant. Jeff worked in a variety of roles from uniform and plainclothes through to Internal Affairs, Health Services, Conflict Resolution, and Change Management. Jeff has worked in a large municipal detachment, a small provincial detachment, at E Division (British Columbia) HQ, as well as spending 6 years with National HQ in Ottawa.

In addition to his police experience Jeff holds a Ph.D. in Counselling Psychology from the University of British Columbia. Jeff is a Registered Psychologist in BC (#1577), and a Board Certified Expert in Traumatic Stress with the American Academy of Experts in Traumatic Stress. For the past 10 years, in addition to his RCMP role, Jeff has been working in private practice in Richmond BC where he has seen hundreds of police officers, soldiers, veterans, Fire-Rescue and EHS Responders. Jeff also serves as Adjunct Professor at the University of British Columbia in the Department of Counselling Psychology where he teaches Trauma Counselling, Group Counselling, and Career Counselling.

Jeff conducts training sessions and speaks at conferences across Canada on Trauma & Resilience, CISM, Conflict Resolution, Emotional Intelligence, Leadership, and Psychologically Healthy Workplaces in Emergency Service organizations.
