I have a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology and a Master's Degree in Rehabilitation and Mental Health Counseling from the University of South Florida. I have almost 20 years of experience in mental health.
I have experience providing individual and group counseling, crisis counseling, performing psychosocial assessments, treatment planning, working with families, working with adults, working with children in the foster care system, providing court testimony, and linking clients to community resources.
I also have experience providing diagnoses for both children and adults, assessing whether an adult or child is at risk of harming himself or herself, discharge planning, and grief counseling. I have worked for an inpatient crisis stabilization unit, hospice, outpatient mental health facility, residential facility, and I have experience as a DCF case manager.
I have experience providing trauma counseling as well, which is a passion of mine.
I also have experience teaching parents and foster parents how to attach to children under 2 years old who have been abused.
