I have 10 years personal recovery experience with trauma and PTSD, and am a Certified Community & Workplace Traumatologist (Traumatolgy Institute). I have experience with Post Traumatic Stress, Compassion Fatigue, Depresssion, and Addictions as a Person with lived experience, first diagnosed in 2005 while employed as a Paramedic in Rural Service. I have 30 years of experience working with persons with developmental disabilities, and am a Certified Human Services Worker (College of the Rockies). I have 5 years experience working with dually-diagnosed individuals, 10 years in Human Services management and 13 years in business as an independent contractor supporting persons with developmental disabilities living semi-independently. I served for 16 years as a primary Care paramedic with the British Columbia Ambulance Service. I am currently working as a volunteer, offering peer-peer support to First Responders and others relative to psychological trauma, post-traumatic stress disorder, compassion fatigue and addictions. My greatest success is in developing pod-casts, interviewing persons providing service in the field of psychological trauma and PTSD.
