Lawrence Green

About Me


Lawrence Green, filmmaker, photographer, and DJ is a native of Washington D.C. He graduated from Temple University’s Film and Media Arts and African American Studies programs. After graduating from Temple University, he held video production, television programming, and communication positions at various companies including the Service Employee International Union, Public Broadcasting Service, Prince Georges County Community College, Murray Hill Productions, The Feedroom (now KIT Digital), the Federation of American Societies for Experimental Biology, and the International Foundation for Electoral Systems.

 

In 2010, Lawrence founded Time Traveling Media Inc. to produce original content and provide visual solutions for clients. Since, Time Traveling Media’s work has been featured at the Prince George's County African American Museum & Cultural Center, National Museum of African American Culture and History, Anacostia Arts Center, The University of the West Indies Open Campus St. Kitts & Nevis, Atlas Performing Arts Center, and The Kennedy Center. Recently, Time Traveling Media Inc. completed Kinks, Locs, and Love, a documentary about the natural hair community primarily in the Washington D.C. area. Lawrence Green recently completed Zsudayka’s Journey, a film about Zsudayka Nzinga Terrell balancing her artistic ambitions with family responsibility and The Conversation, a film about a heterosexual married couple confronting their conflicting thoughts about having children.


Lawrence is currently a Content Production Specialist at the National Committee for Quality Assurance where he manages the production of special events and produces promotion videos. He is also pursuing a Masters of Fine Arts in Film and Media Arts.
