I am a highly experienced translator, editor, and post-editor, certified by STIBC from Spanish into English with 14 years of full-time in-house experience translating for a clinical trials ethics board,and 26 years in freelance medical, legal, business, and software translation. I have both an advanced degree (MA in Spanish Literature) and a specialized certificate in translation from Bellevue College. In addition, I have worked for the last year as a bilingual disease intervention specialist due to the COVID-19 crisis.  My current translation tool is Trados Studio 2021, and I am familiar with Memsource and Wordfast Professional. At present, I serve on the Ethics and Chapters Committees for the American Translators Association, and have served on the Ethics Committee for STIBC in the past. For a number of years I was the President of the Northwest Translators and Interpreters Society.
