MHO Adventures has been a leader in Ontario’s Adventure Tourism industry for over 30 years. We have guided trips throughout Ontario, including the James Bay Watershed, as well as Northern Quebec and the Arctic. We focus on providing our clients with a fun, comfortable and memorable experience while living and traveling safely in the wilderness.

We have grown to be a leader in expedition based experiential education, wilderness skills training, river guiding, backcountry expeditions, leadership / team development, Expedition Food Service, and most recently, River Roots.

River Roots is a 42-day Guide Training & Leadership Development Program based out of Huntsville, Ontario with a focus on Whitewater Canoeing.  At the end of six short weeks grads are employable in the outdoor adventure tourism industry, having completed 5 certifications, a 21-day James Bay Expedition and many workshops focusing on both hard and soft skills.  Not to mention all of the networking opportunities provided.

River Roots has been said to be an Alternative to multi year post secondary education programs, both by grads and industry professionals.
