Established in 2004, the Durham Children’s Aid Foundation (DCAF) is a registered charity supporting Children, Youth and Families associated with the Durham Children’s Aid Society and those living in the Durham Region.

Durham Children’s Aid Foundation (DCAF) is committed to collaborating with the community to enable equal opportunities for children, youth, and families, so that they may reach their full potential.

DCAF works to ensure that every child or youth, regardless of circumstances, has the resources and support to reach their full potential.

Durham Children’s Aid Foundation (DCAF) extends a helping hand to children, youth and families living in vulnerable situations. As a result, DCAF is striving to break the cycle of abuse and neglect. At the same time, fostering the healthy development of children and youth into socially responsible adults.  Programs and activities supported by DCAF provide funding for essential services. Keeping in mind, these services are not covered by government funding. DCAF focuses on assistance for children and youth living in economically disadvantaged and vulnerable family situations.
