About Me

William Fisher is one of the world’s foremost scientists active in developing – and applying – powerful behavioral science models for the prediction and promotion of reproductive health related behavior. Fisher serves on seven journal editorial boards. He was awarded the UWO Hellmuth Prize for research (2007), has been a National Health Scientist for Health Canada and has consulted for Health Canada, the US Centers for Disease Control, and the World Health Organization. His work is international in scope, including major health promotion research efforts in Europe, Asia, Israel and Palestine, and a current 5-year, NIH funded project, linking HIV care with HIV prevention, in 16 HIV clinical settings in South Africa.
