Dr. Papadopoulos is the Director of The Research Institute of the McGill University Health Centre (MUHC) and Professor in the Faculty of Medicine at McGill University. He holds a Canada Research Chair in Biochemical Pharmacology and the Phil Gold Chair in Medicine at McGill/MUHC. Dr. Papadopoulos’ research focuses on the pathophysiology and treatment of diseases related to altered steroid hormone synthesis. His work has led to a better understanding of the pathways leading to steroid hormone synthesis, the pharmacology of steroid formation in the periphery and brain, and the identification of molecules controlling steroid synthesis and replacing endogenous steroids.
