Terry Klassen has been Professor and Chair of the Department of Pediatrics, University of Alberta and Regional Clinical Program Director for Child Health since 1999; Director of the Alberta Research Centre for Child Health Evidence and Director of the Evidence-based Practice Center. His major research interests have been in developing a strong evidence base in child health through the conduct of randomized controlled trials and systematic reviews with particular interests in injury control and acute respiratory disease. In 2003, he received the Research Award from the Ambulatory Pediatric Association in Seattle, Washington recognizing his lifetime research accomplishments.
