Stanley H Zlotkin, MD PhD FRCP(C) is a highly respected and celebrated leader in the field of medicine, and specifically childhood nutrition. His work, as a Professor of Paediatrics at the University of Toronto and a senior scientist and gastroenterologist/clinical nutritionist, has attracted worldwide attention for its innovation and impact. Most importantly has been his development and dissemination of innovative and easy-to-use nutritional supplements, such as iron and vitamins, to address deficiencies which affect many children in the developing world. He has been able to translate his research into practical application bringing major health improvements to countless children worldwide. He has received international acclaim, and garnered him prestigious awards such as the Order of Canada and the International Ashoka Fellowship. He is the inaugeral head of the SickKids Centre for Global Child Health.
