Reginald Nadeau is Emeritus Professor of Medicine and Physiology, Université de Montréal. A pioneer in cardiac electrophysiology in Canada, he is a member of Council of the International Society of Electrocardiology. He is author and co-author of over 300 papers and book chapters. At the Research Centre of the Hôpital du Sacré-Coeur de Montréal (which he founded in 1972), he devoted himself to the study of cardiac arrhythmias and promoted the translation of research into improved pharmacological and surgical therapy. He serves as a board member of the AETMIS (technology evaluation) and of the Conseil du médicament du Québec. He was a founding member of the Canadian Institute of Academic Medicine in 1989, and is an honorary member of the French, Hungarian and Slovak Societies of Cardiology.
