About Me

I am an interdisciplinary artist - primarily working within the context of craft, in specific contemporary jewellery - making both wearable and object based work. My practice is heavily focused around bead work and off loom bead weaving practices - taking my beadwork imagery also into other craft mediums (wood and clay).

Motifs within my work are inspired by the land and landscapes I find myself in and the notion of home and connection to place. I draw inspiration from the garden I sow, the forests I walk through and the seasonal shifts of the Canadian climate. I am forever inspired by the bodies of water and river ways that surround me. The forests, the fields, the abundance of flora and the colours of a thousand of flowers.

I live and have a studio practice on The Saugeen Peninsula, Ontario, Canada. Currently. I am a graduate from NSCAD University in Halifax, Nova Scotia.
