About Me

I am an Ottawa-based artist, writer, curator and educator living on the unceded territory of the Anishnabe Algonquin Nation. My practice centres on wooden expressive forms, blending a swirling sense of movement with cursory, sometimes tangential functionality. Using rounded organic shapes I am inspired by a tree's lifcycle, and try to pay homage to the water, sun and wind that helped create and shap the wooden material. As a self-taught emerging artist my practice is slow, thoughtful and evolving as I continue to push my technical abilities.
