AFS Intercultural Programs, a 75 year-old non-profit organization, provides international student exchange programs for foreign exchange students coming to the USA and, also, American students going abroad.  AFS-USA (https://www.afsusa.org/) is built and sustained by local Volunteers and Families who are supported by AFS-USA National Staff.  AFS-KC brings families and students together to promote insight, mutual respect, and cultural understanding among people throughout the world.  AFS opens doors to diverse, global experiences and relationships for our local families and communities.

We match incoming AFS High School Students with local Host Families and High Schools in the Kansas City MetroArea.  We also facilitate local KC High School Students who are interested in studying abroad.  The AFS-KC Team promotes peace and cross cultural understanding among our local families, high schools, and communities.
