About Me

Colleen has spent years developing and improving her fibre skills.  She is a weaver, spinner, dyer, stitcher and is now focused on botanical printing and both wet and needle felting.  Functionality is important and the use of natural dyes and fibres coincide with her belief in being kind to our threatened ecosystem.
She has studied locally and abroad: Scandinavia, England, New Zealand, Thailand and France.
Membership in many professional guilds and organizations keeps her in touch with the latest trends.  Currently Colleen belongs to Felt-Feutre in Canada, International Fibre Association of England, Creative Fibre of New Zealand and locally the Ontario Handweavers and Spinners Guild, Ontario Spinners Seminar, Belleville Weavers and Spinners Guild and Kingston Handweavers and Spinners Guild.  She has studied under Fiona Duthie, Eva Camacho Sanchez, Leiko Uchiyama, Irit Dulman and Carolyn Nixon. All recognized experts in their field.
