I offer therapy for a broad range of issues for adolescents and adults. I do couple and family work and professional supervision for psychologists and other health professionals. I have an eclectic approach, based generally around PCT, CBT, ACT, Mindfulness, systemic and narrative therapy. My specialist areas include working with depression, anxiety, trauma, gender dysphoria, LBGTQI clients and supervision.
I have been in practice as a Clinical Psychologist since 1993. I practiced in Zimbabwe initally, was on the Executive Committee of the Zimbawe Psychological Association, 1994-1996. I was a part-time lecturer in the Department of Psychiatry, University of Zimbabwe, 1995-2000. My initial training was as a senior school teacher and I taught English as a first and second language, history and was a school counsellor. I emigrated to New Zealand and got registration as a Clinical Psychologist in 2001. I am the secretary for our local Professional Development Group which has 8 members, meets monthly and has been in existence since 2012.
