Leslie Roos is Distinguished Professor of Community Health Sciences, University of Manitoba. As founder of the Manitoba Centre for Health Policy and Director of the Population Health Research Data Repository, Dr. Roos pioneered the use of routinely collected administrative data for research purposes, an approach now used internationally. His work was influential in the Manitoba Centre’s receipt of two rounds of major CFI funding, a CIHR Knowledge Translation award and a CHSRF Health Services Research Advancement Award. He has published over 200 peer reviewed papers, numerous book chapters and three books which have been cited over 4,500 times.
