About Me

I am a registered Consultant Clinical and Coaching Psychologist with 20 years of experience, and over 12,000 face-to-face hours. Over these years I have filled clinical, leadership, coaching, facilitating, consultancy, and community roles. My style is collaborative and empowering while holding an expectation that we can all learn to draw on skills, strengths, supports, and new ways of understanding ourselves, to develop psychological flexibility and the capacity to flourish.

I provide
Assessment and Therapy, Professional Supervision, and Professional Coaching.

Background - For much of my career I have worked with people who are stuck in complex and rigid systems and
ways of responding to life's challenges. Clinically I have worked in Early Psychosis Intervention, adult community mental health teams, and in an acute inpatient unit with people who were acutely troubled and distressed.

In my leadership
roles, I have experience in governance, strategic planning, workforce development, and leading service development, change, and quality improvement initiatives. I also have extensive experience in workshop development and facilitation covering psychology and complex mental health, workplace wellbeing, team development, leadership, and women in leadership.

Coaching clients have included senior-level managers, high-potential leaders, and medical professionals and directors working in a variety of industries including professional services, healthcare, law, IT, finance, sport, social enterprise, and corporate. I have particular expertise in leadership coaching and training with a special interest in working with women in leadership and working parents.

I have volunteered for many years on the Boards of community groups such as the
International Society for Psychological and Social Approaches to Psychosis - NZ branch (ISPS-NZ) and the Eating Difficulties Education Network (EDEN).

In my work, I draw from Acceptance and Commitment Theory (ACT), Focused ACT (FACT), Positive Psychology, mindfulness, neuroscience, Solution-Focused approaches, CBT, and other models. I am committed to continuing professional development, training, and supervision to ensure I offer you the best service.
