About Me


Murray H. Miskin graduated Osgoode Hall Law School in 1979 and was Called to the Ontario Bar in 1981. He developed the Arbitration II course for the Arbitrators Institute of Canada in 1984 and first taught it through the University of Toronto School of Continuing Studies in January 1985. Murray first worked as an Arbitrator in 1987 and joined the Institute in May 1988 and then served on its Board of Directors when it became the Arbitration and Mediation Institute of Ontario and continued on the Board including 6 years as Vice President until the year 2000.  Murray received mediator training at Osgoode Hall Law School in 1997 and was a Toronto Court Roster Mediator for the first few years of the program.  He continues to practice law through Miskin Law Professional Corporation based in Peterborough, and also to act regularly as an Arbitrator and as a Mediator. He continues to teach the ADR Institute Certificate Course in Arbitration in Toronto annually and also teaches ADR elsewhere.
