About Me

I am currently working in private practice part time. I offer a range of services, including assessment and treatment, provision of training and supervision. I offer ACC sensitive claims assessment and treatment. I have approximately 20 years' experience of working with clients with a range of needs, including complex forensic and non-forensic assessment and treatment. I am experienced in providing supervision to Psychologists and other professionals, and I can provide training on a range of topics including group therapy skills, working with complex / challenging behaviour, and maintaining well-being / resilience. I have worked in roles which have involved providing clinical oversight and consultation to other professionals to ensure high quality services are delivered. I also have expertise in expert witness testimony through my work in forensic settings.

My main approach is CBT based, incorporating DBT and ACT. I aim to be responsive to the needs of the client in tailoring my approach to meet their needs and goals. I work in a compassionate, strengths-based way to help enhance client well-being and resilience.

My background predominantly involves working in a forensic context, in the UK for approximately 15 years for HM Prison Service, and for Ara Poutama (Dept. of Corrections) since 2017. I have been fully qualified as a Registered Psychologist since 2013. My work has involved assessment, group and individual treatment with complex clients with a range of needs including trauma and offending, specifically sexual, violent, family harm and extremist offending. I have expertise in providing expert testimony and provision of reports to the UK and New Zealand Parole Boards and the Courts, for example in relation to Extended Supervision cases. My experience has also including critical incident de-briefing, supervision of a range of staff, consultation, and training.
