The North Shore Local Immigration Partnership(LIP) includes the areas of Colchester, Pictou and Antigonish counties wasestablished in 2021 through funding from Immigration, Refugees and CitizenshipCanada (IRCC).

The LIP is part of an innovative model of more than 60 LIPs acrossCanada (including four in Nova Scotia). It has the overall objective ofenhancing collaboration, coordination, and strategic planning at the communitylevel to foster more welcoming and inclusive communities that improvesettlement and integration outcomes for newcomers. 

This regional partnership of diverse stakeholders, includingmulti-levels of government, community agencies, health & education services, employers among others willencourage communities to better understand and consider newcomers’ assets and needs in terms of access,coordination, and programming.
