About Me

I am a registered clinical psychologist with a broad experience in terms of psychological evaluation and intervention across the developmental span. My experience covers areas of (but not limited to): forensic psychology, neuropsychology, psychopathology, health psychology and psychotherapy (group, individual, couples).

Clinically, I have a special interest in adolescent and adult personality and relationships. Mood difficulties,
adjustment, trauma, and substance related issues. Previously, I have worked in the private and public mental health system of South Africa, prior to immigrating to New Zealand in early 2018. Since, I have worked in Community Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services, Forensic Psychiatric Services, And
the Department of Corrections. I also have a background as a registered counsellor before I registered as a clinical psychologist in 2016.

At large, I am practising eclectically. I am moving away from the ‘one-size-fits-all' approach. However, the
significant aspects of the cognitive behavioural, person centred, and psychodynamic theories are what I value more. I have a special interest in Schema Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment therapy, and brief psychodynamic therapy.
