Ronald Dash is a mediator and arbitrator, with experience inemployment law, commercial and contract litigation, personal injury, insurancedisputes, professional negligence, product liability, business disputes,debtor-creditor claims, defamation, financial advisor actions, constructiondisputes, commercial general liability claims, environmental contamination,franchise disputes, and class actions. He has been a panel member of ADRChambers since 2017.

Ron was a Case Management Master of the Ontario Superior Courtof Justice for almost 16 years, until his retirement from the bench in November2016. As a Master, Ron presided over thousands of cases, adjudicating motionsand references, conducting settlement conferences and pre-trials and casemanaging actions. He has had extensive experience adjudicating and mediatingmatters where one or more of the litigants were self-represented.

Before being appointed as a Master, Ron was a litigator for 27years with the firm of Zammit, Dash & Semple. His practice includedcommercial litigation, family law, plaintiff’s personal injury, and wrongfuldismissal actions.

In 1998 Ron obtained his mediation certificate at the OsgoodeHall Law School intensive mediation program. He was an early panel member ofthe Ontario Mandatory Mediation Program. He has, since joining ADR Chambers,completed further mediation training with the Stitt Feld Handy Group. In 2018he completed the Toronto Commercial Arbitration Society Gold Standard Course inCommercial Arbitration and has been awarded a Q.Arb. designation.

Ron obtained his B.A. in psychology at the University ofToronto, his law degree from Osgoode Hall Law School and was called to the barin 1974.

He is a member of the Advocates’ Society, the Ontario BarAssociation, the ADR Institute of Ontario and the Toronto CommercialArbitration Society.

In addition to offering mediation, neutral evaluation andtraditional arbitration, Ron offers motions arbitration and case management ofcomplex actions.
