About Us

About Operabase
It has been 25 years since Operabase started documenting operatic activity worldwide and we have amassed over 500,000 performances on our platform. We record the work of artists in over 2500 theatres, and publish season information to opera-goers in 34 languages including English, French, German, Italian, Spanish and many others.  Operabase Professional for Arts Organisations offers you much more than what is publicly available on the Basic Arts Organisation plan. Key features on the professional subscription include access to the Operabase archives (dating back to 1996) as well as access to the Casting Tool that has hit 8000 searches per month with over 100,000 artists and 550 artist managers on file. The opportunities to connect and collaborate are endless,

The Casting Tool
  • Ability to create a list of all who have sung a particular role, have conducted a particular work or have been part of the creative team for a production, filtered by when, where, and with whom. This list can go as far back as 1996 or start from the date specified.

  • Links to artists’ management contact details and artists' own official websites are a click away.

  • Future season programming is simplified as casting information is pooled in a central system.

  • Extensive catalogue at your fingertips that enables you to find last-minute replacements.

  • Update the Arts Organisation's profile page and add season information for audience members visiting your page.
