Since earning a bachelor of Business Economics from Brock University in 1987, Louisa has been working as a professional in the investment industry. A board member of The Financial Advisors Association of Canada (ADVOCIS) since 1994, she plays an integral role in shaping the direction of the industry.

She has conducted workshops for financial planners on how to create financial plans and has been involved in forming the standards required for financial plans submitted by RFP candidates. She spent five years on the examination committee for the Financial Planners Standards Council of Canada, which grants the CFP designation. Louisa was also the contributing editor for the Guide to Personal Financial Planning published by Carswell for several years.

In addition to education and experience, Louisa holds the designation of Certified Financial Planner and Registered Financial Planner, as well as having her life insurance qualification. She is an independent financial planner working under LCM Financial Planning Limited.
