The Smithmore Castle is a 121 acre private mountain estate located on top of English Knob in the Great Smoky Mountains.  The 12,000 square foot mansion has 6 bedrooms and 9 bathrooms.  It includes a billiards room, a 'starlight' bar, Tuscan themed lounge and a commercial kitchen.  The large main dining room accommodates seating for 20 with a fireplace and ceiling frescos.  There is also a wine cellar with private dining, a large courtyard with fountain, a huge portico, a giant great room with marble floors featuring a massive 3 story stone fireplace and an 8' Swarovski crystal chandelier.  The two main bedrooms connect to the four story towers, each of which contain its own private hot tub.  At an elevation of 3688 ft., the 'Castle in the Sky' offers one of the most amazing views in North Carolina with a spectacular 270 degree view of Mount Mitchell, Toe River Valley, the Eastern Continental Divide and multiple layers of mountain ranges.  A 3000 square foot building, known as Crown Hall with beautiful views of its own, is nestled in the woods below the main house.
