Allan S. Detsky is Professor of Health Policy, Management and Evaluation and Medicine at the University of Toronto, and staff physician at Sinai Health System and University Health Network. He obtained his BSc and PhD in Economics at MIT, and his MD at Harvard. His research in clinical medicine, clinical epidemiology and health economics has been published in over 300 papers. He has served on the editorial board of the New England Journal of Medicine and as a Contributing Writer for the Journal of the American Medical Association. He is a Member of the Order of Canada.
