About Me
Dr. William Ghali is a researcher, professor, holder of a Canada Research Chair, and the recipient of a Senior Health Scholar Award from Alberta Innovates. His research program focuses on health care delivery for four common and inter-related conditions - cardiac disease, diabetes, cerebrovascular disease, and venous thromboembolic disease. He is one of the leaders of the Ward of the 21st Century Initiative (www.w21c.org). His research program has produced over 250 publications in peer reviewed journals, and he has mentored numerous successful trainees. He is a notable contributor to several national and international health agencies.
