Dr. Rémi Rabasa-Lhoret is Professor of medicine and nutrition at the Université de Montréal and Vice-president (clinic and clinical research) at IRCM. He works on type 1 diabetes to reduce the frequency and consequences of hypoglycemia (low blood sugar) and is an ardent promoter of patient well-being. He is a leader in the development of artificial pancreas and the instigator of a large diabetes registry. He holds two diabetes research chairs, has published over 335 manuscripts, and contributed to national and international treatment recommendations.
