Dr. Jane Philpott is an accomplished physician, academic administrator, and former Canadian politician. She strives constantly and consistently to improve quality of health care, both nationally and internationally, underlying a passion to establish "health for all" as a clinician working directly with patients, but also through improvements in infrastructure and health policy. Her work for equity, diversity and inclusion in health care centers on health professions education, creating an environment to train a more diverse cohort of healthcare practitioners and developing programs, like the Global Health Initiative, to see more diversification of training.
