Dr. Amit Oza has dedicated his clinical and research activities to women diagnosed with gynaecologic cancers. He established a Pan-Canadian early phase clinical trials network that has made precision medicine available to women with gynaecologic cancers upwards of five years prior to clinical approval, and led or participated in more than 100 trials. The trials resulted in the clinical approval and use of two classes of precision medicine drugs (antiangiogenics and PARP inhibitors) in ovarian cancer in Canada and internationally. His research has uncovered biology driving treatment resistance and continues to influence drug development efforts.
