About Me

Felicia Barlow Clar is an award-winning hi-level event and video producer, and talent booker. She has begun producing her first documentary about civil rights pioneer, James M. Hinton, her step-grandfather.

She earned a Master of Arts degree in Communication: Producing for Film from American University. Her production credits include NBC, Food Network, HBO, E!, Discovery, and
PBS. Felicia served as President of the DC chapter of Women in Film
& Video, as well as being a founding committee member of the
Association for Women in Events.

After more than 20 years in the live event and media industries, working on hundreds of large-scale events including the 2005 Presidential Inauguration, she created Epilogue Tributes to support the bereaved with creating a meaningful and unique celebration of life service. As a "funeral disruptor," podcast host, and author, Felicia educates people to understand there are alternatives to funeral homes that help us mourn intentionally, so we
can shift our grief to gratitude and begin the healing process.

Felicia has written two end-of-life, death-positive workbooks: What You Don’t Know About End of Life Planning: A guide to discovering the death-positive movement, exploring your options, and living and dying with intention; and A Celebration of Life Planner: Making Your Memories Your Legacy. Felicia hosts the podcast Funeral Disruptors, where she interviews guests in the expanding end-of-life industry and changes the conversation around mortality.
