About Me
Dr. Margaret Herridge is a Professor at the University of Toronto and a Senior Scientist and Respiratory/Critical Care Physician at the University Health Network. An international leader in patient and family caregiver outcomes after critical illness, she has published over 250 articles/book chapters, has been co-editor of 2 international textbooks on ICU Outcomes, is a frequent international speaker and currently leads the national RECOVER/CANCOV( co-lead) Programs. She has received national and international awards including: Honorary Member, European Society of Intensive Care Medicine( 2016), Lifetime Achievement Award from the American Thoracic Society (2018) , Eaton Scholar Researcher of the Year (Clinical) Department of Medicine, University of Toronto (2019), Deborah Cook Mentorship Award, Canadian Critical Care Trials Group (2020), CIHR-Canadian Critical Care Society Distinguished Lecturer Award in Critical Care Sciences ( 2022) and is a Tier 1 Canada Research Chair in Critical Illness Outcomes and the Recovery Continuum (2022).
