About Me
Santa Ono serves as the 15th President of UBC. He was the 28th President of the University of Cincinnati. Educated the University of Chicago, McGill and Harvard, Ono served on the faculties of Johns Hopkins, Harvard, UCL and Emory Universities. He has served on the editorial boards of Journal of Immunology and Journal of Biological Chemistry. He has been elected a Fellow of the American Association for the Advancement of Sciences (FAAAS), the Royal Society of Chemistry (MRSC) and the Canadian Academy of Health Science. In 2017 he was awarded the Alumni Achievement Award from the University of Chicago.
