About Us

TheBucket Shop(TBS) is a Timmins, Ontario based heavy equipment repair, rebuild, and manufacturing facility that produces mining and earth moving equipment attachments (buckets, and haul truck boxes). We have designed and manufacturedunique 2, 4, and 6-piece bucket models. Our team consists of ~100 people. The business was founded in 1991 and 2 business units operate today: TBS(production and manufacturing) and Steeltec (mobile fleet welding/millwright services).

TBS became experts in repairing and/or building newbuckets for earth moving equipment and extended into associated machinery. Specifically, we began repairing and building new truck boxes, and consequently expanded our offering into the maintenance of mine mills and processing plants with the Steeltec division.

TBS has continued to grow and re-invest in the region;in 2017 we moved into our newly built 65,000 square foot, research, and manufacturing facility. In 2019/2020, we added an additional 20,000 square feet for a specialized abrasive blasting & painting facility along with the addition of a dedicated warehouse and mechanicshop. An expanding client list beyond Ontario borders has necessitated the growth of the staff and business operations team.

Since 2015, TBS has championed the product development and testing of the Rhinowear brand of wear products with direct input from dimensional design to component metallurgy all supported by real world testing in some of the harshest hard rock mining environments. TBS and its dealer network have the exclusive distribution rights to the Rhinowear portfolio across Canada.

The success of our evolution has been an outcome ofthe strategic value we bring to clients. The added service is a result of anecosystem of partners that enables us to bring industry best practices to ourclients.

Our Indigenous partners has significantly increased our profile and opportunities within the mining sector. We developed a unique welding training program for Aboriginal women, in partnership with Keepers ofThe Circle, where we conduct practical welding training in our facility and prepare the women for welding certification. 100% of the women have attained at least one welding ticket! We also hold Joint Ventures or Alliance Agreements with:
