Noront Steel (1981) Ltd. is fully equipped to supply, fabricate and erect structural steel, miscellaneous steel, platework and related steel products. 

 

Noront's experience covers a wide range of different projects; from mining, forestry, pulp and paper, cogeneration, boiler plants, commercial to industrial projects and automotive projects (our market base covers Canada and the United States).  We average approximately 5,000 to 7,000 tons per year.

 

We also fabricate such items, as headframes, shaft guides (using hollow structural steel) complete with brattices and skips, underground crushing stations, chutes and liners and make repairs to ore cars and Granby cars.

 

Noront has been in business since 1945.

 

Our plant facility is fully equipped with all the steel fabricating equipment and machinery and is approximately 40,000 square feet.  Noront's shop is situated on 18 acres of land providing plenty of storage area for both raw material and fabricated material.

  

Our company also has its own paint facility which includes a Wheelabrator, portable sandblaster, and airless and conventional spray equipment.

Noront is fully approved by the Canadian Welding Bureau, Division 2 and operates a Quality Management System, which complies with the requirements of IS0 9001:2015. We are a member in good standing of the Northern Ontario Construction Association. 

We provide detailing and engineering services using the latest 3D modelling software.
