Stuart Phillips is a Professor at McMaster University in the Department of Kinesiology and an Associate Member of the Medical Sciences. He is tier 1 Canada Research Chair in skeletal muscle health in aging. Dr. Phillips has more than 20 years of experience in academic research. He has published more than 300 scientific journal articles. Dr. Phillips has been interviewed and his work featured in more than 100 mainstream media pieces including several in the Globe and Mail and the New York Times. Dr. Phillips has delivered more than 180 public presentations to academic, public, and private audiences on dietary protein, physical activity, and aging. He is an award-winning teacher winning the McMaster Student's Unions Teaching Award at McMaster University 4 times. Dr. Phillips is also an award-winning researcher having received awards from numerous Canadian agencies: NSERC, CIHR, PREA, CSEP, and CRC. Dr. Phillips is and has been a consultant to multiple private and public groups and to several government agencies. Dr. Phillips is a key opinion leader in protein science for exercise, weight loss, and aging.
